Natural resources minister fires Rosgeo’s first deputy CEO

MOSCOW, Jan 29 (PRIME) -- Natural Resources and Environment Minister Dmitry Kobylkin has fired Ruslan Gorring, first deputy CEO of state geological exploration company Rosgeo, over inappropriate behavior depicted in a video distributed online through social networks, the ministry’s spokeswoman Natalya Khlopunova told PRIME on Tuesday.

“Following yesterday’s outrageous video with participation of the top manager of state corporation Rosgeo that we saw in social networks, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Dmitry Kobylkin has ordered to fire the figurant of the scandal – First Deputy CEO Ruslan Gorring – and to check operations at Rosgeo. Rosgeo’s CEO Roman Panov has been given a reprimand,” she said.

A Rosgeo representative of told PRIME that the company has terminated its contract with Gorring.

In the video, Gorring is shown playing an online video game, shouting profanities and speaking about his sexual affairs with colleagues.

Gorring had been occupying the position of Rosgeo’s first deputy CEO since October 2018.
